Lauren Elstob is a translator and editor from Northumberland in the UK. She obtained her degree in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge, followed by a Masters in Translation Studies from the University of Manchester. She worked in the field of international communications, then in 2011 began her career in translation and editing. Since then, she has translated across various genres, working from Portuguese and Spanish into English, and values the challenges and enduring importance of literary and academic translation in cross-cultural communication. In 2023 she established an editing consultancy, helping academics and writers refine their English texts for publication.
