2. Products

The online store offers physical books, CDs, DVDs, and merchandising items. Product images are for illustrative purposes only. In the event of an obvious discrepancy, the written description shall prevail.

3. Prices

All prices displayed include VAT (Value Added Tax). Shipping costs will be indicated prior to the completion of the order.

4. Orders

Orders may be placed through https://www.shantarin.com. Shantarin reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order on reasonable grounds.

5. Payments

Payments may be made by debit card, credit card, MB WAY, or Multibanco. All payment data is processed securely by specialized third-party entities.

6. Deliveries

Shantarin delivers worldwide through the universal postal service or express courier services. Estimated delivery times will be provided at the time of purchase. The maximum statutory delivery period is 30 days.

7. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Portuguese Decree-Law No. 24/2014, consumers have the right to withdraw from the contract without providing any reason within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the product.

Withdrawal procedure:

  • Send an email to bookshop@shantarin.com containing the following information: (i) full name, (ii) address, (iii) statement of withdrawal, (iv) order date and product receipt date, (v) invoice, (vi) reason for withdrawal (optional).
  • Await confirmation from our customer service team.
  • Return the product, together with the original invoice, to: Antiga Shantarin, Lda. Rua Carlos Reis 38 A, 1600-033 Lisbon, Portugal. The consumer shall bear the return costs, unless otherwise indicated.
  • The refund will be processed within 14 days from the date of receipt of the returned goods.

Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed products (including CDs, DVDs, books with attached gifts, or similar items) that have been opened after delivery.

9. Governing Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a dispute, the consumer may resort to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entities. A list of ADR entities in Portugal is available at: https://www.cniacc.pt.
